Towards eco-efficiency

The WVA takes a strong interest in solutions for eco-effiency and new refrigeration techniques that will improve equipment efficiency while taking into account environmental concerns.

The WVA follows any relevant activities with the UNEP – United Nations Environment Programme – which aims to address environmental issues at global and regional level.

With the phasing out of f-gases at global level, and commitments by commercial organisations to move to HFC-free refrigeration techniques and eco-efficient equipment, there is strong pressure on the vending industry to look at future solutions.

The WVA therefore wishes to become a centre of knowledge and information about innovation in this area.  It intends to establish a common strategy and work programme with respect to the future of refrigeration and eco-efficency.
