Standards are a key factor in the development of a cost-efficient vending industry.

The founding organisations of the WVA, NAMA and the EVA, have a long history of cooperation in the area of standards.  Whilst NAMA develops and maintains the MDB-ICP standard, the EVA develops and maintains EVA-DTS.  The two working groups that respectively develop those standards are in close contact, so that a solution can be found should any specific issues arise.

It is in the WVA Members’ interest that the global vending marketplace adheres to both the NAMA and EVA Standards.

The aim of the WVA is to promote the EVA-DTS and the MDB-ICP as standards for the vending industry.  NAMA and the EVA have an agreement to consult each other when developing new standards, for example for cashless vending (EVA-CVS) so that any new standards have the widest, geographical acceptance possible.
